I am more acquainted with grief and loss than I care to acknowledge and yet, I’ve learned that it is only in the acknowledging of where we are at, feeling all the feels as the kids say, and embracing what is, in order to let love continue to grow, that we can begin to open up our hearts again to an abundant life. I’ve lost some of the closest relationships I’ve ever had and that pain lingers on and rises up as a surge of emotions at times when I least expect it, but I embrace the opportunity to take a moment to deeply breathe in the love we share and I think about what an impact they have made on my soul. I let tears wash over me, giving me a refreshing pause to determine my next steps.
I’ve also lost my job on no less than 6 times throughout my life. Each time it stung and created uncertainty and fear, but it also gave me the chance to course correct, take a pause and lean into God a bit more, teaching me how to trust in His provision at new levels each time.
Maybe you can also relate to grieving something or someone that is just not the way you thought it would be. My relationship with my mom has been strained for the last 35 years with her mental and physical challenges from chronic pain. I’ve realized it led me to live in what I term “chronic grief”, grieving the mother I so longed for and never got for an extended period of time.
While searching for a way to travel through my own grief, I was Spirit led to start creating pieces of word art with the intention to encourage a movement of love where we all call out the gold we see in each other, now while we have the chance, this side of Heaven.
We have power in our words… power to heal. And at the end of the day, I want my legacy to be LOVE…because life is all about love, period. ♥.
What do you want your LEGACY to be?
I am wishing you a lifetime of love, grace and courage.
Follow His Heart,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
You are amazing.
You are seen. You are heard. You are loved.
You are worth more than gold.
You are resilient.
You are stronger than you know. You are known.
